British Army commanders were making arrangements Thursday night to bring Prince Harry back from Afghanistan after word of his deployment broke, London newspaper The Guardian reported. Is this some of that right wing patriotism we've heard so much about during the Bush administration? You know, the one about supporting the troops?
The paper reported that the prince, who is 10 weeks into a 14-week tour, was believed to still be in Afghanistan Thursday night among his fellow British soldiers in the southern Helmand province.
Word that Harry has been serving on the front line in Afghanistan with the British Army was confirmed Thursday by the Ministry of Defense after the Drudge Report Web site leaked the news.
The Telegraph reported that the deployment had been cloaked in secrecy under a news blackout deal agreed across the UK media to prevent details reaching the Taliban and endangering Harry and his comrades.
But the arrangement broke down Thursday. Commanders had a contingency plan in place to fly Harry out of Afghanistan as quickly as possible if word of his deployment became public, The Guardian said.

Prince Harry to leave Afghanistan after right wing Drudge outs his secret deployment
Good job Matt Drudge, once again you show the people what you're made of. Many of us already knew with your endless critical reporting with a strong right wing agenda, and often getting critical information wrong. Now Drudge has endangered the lives of Prince Harry, who's been in Afghanistan since December and others who are serving on the frontlines.
