Not only has Pfleger been prominently listed on Obama’s official advisory committee, but he also has been recruited by Obama to campaign for him beginning in Iowa and around the country as an official campaign surrogate. Obama has had a 20 year relationship with him, as long as his relationship with Rev. Jeremiah Wright. And it’s no surprise that Pfleger is one of Wright’s closest allies and friends–and that both of them are the closest allies and friends of none other than Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. Pfleger and Wright are promoters and defenders of the hate-monger Obama consistently and respectfully calls “MInister Farrakhan.” Farrakhan is a big backer of Obama’s candidacy–and has been a supporter throughout his entire political career.Pfleger’s faith testimonial now scrubbed from the Obama campaign’s official website.
To this day, the press corps, in Chicago and nationally, has not done basic reporting on Obama’s ties to the Nation of Islam despite repeated reports that he has hired members of the hate group for his campaign and Senate Office and that Farrakhan has been one of his most important political props in South Chicago from the start of his political career.
Axelrod, Chicago string-puller and corporate lobbyist, is one of the connections among this motley crew. It turns out that he’s on the fundraising committee for Pfleger’s church. Axelrod obviously has no second thoughts about Pfleger’s flagrant appearances with Farrakhan, who he brings to the church to rail against the evil of white people. And Obama obviously has not even whispered to Axelrod that it might just be a bit inappropriate for his top handler to be so closely associated with anti-Semitic, racist and anti-American hate mongers.
Which, of course, brings us to Obama’s anti-Semitic, racist and anti-American church.
