Bush seeks a War Czar to clean up his mess

The President who has bumbled "his" war so badly he can't figure out how to fix it, is now seeking someone else to take over his mess. Not only does he want someone else to fix this failed war, but then that person can be the fall guy when it fails. The White House is now looking for a "War Czar", someone to over see the entire war. Defense Secretary Gates today announced that Army tours would be extended from 1 yr duties to 15 month duties. They continue to say recruits are strong and they aren't struggling, but here we are again hearing of a 3 month extension for these people who have already been over in Iraq 2, 3, even 4 times. To entice (some) they are flashing $150,000 bonuses. I'm not sure who these bonuses apply to, obviously not all of them, but I guess now we know how much a human life is worth. Read More

2 more of our troops died in Iraq today. That's 17 since this last weekend began, and 45 since the beginning of the month, just 11 days ago.
